Pernambucanos participate in the Software World Cup in Germany, of the most important competitions of its kind in the world. The staff of the Centre for Advanced Studies and Systems of Recife (Cesar) was ranked first in South America.
The team ranked first in South America in Software Testing World Cup. The team formed by José Carrera, Rodrigo Cursino, Melissa Bridges and Alessandra Cursino, will participate in the final stage of the competition, which takes place during the Agile Testing Days, 10-13 November in the city of Potsdam, Germany.
The first stage of the competition, held online, with the participation of 36 teams from South America. In the contest, with a total duration of three hours, jurors distributed software for each team should test it, report the defects found and produce a report of tests. Additionally, staff should explain the strategy used to test the application.
The teams only met the application at the time of competition. “The greatest difficulty in testing software is to find what is most relevant to the customer so that we can deliver a product that meets and add value,” explains Melissa Bridges, Cesar’s team, by e-mail.
Each continent qualified a team for the final at the Agile Testing Days. The tickets and accommodations are provided by the organization.
