Since April last year, Microsoft ended support for machines with Windows XP. So it was natural that other companies will also stop their support for its main programs on the platform. And now comes the turn of Dropbox, which announced the end of its compatibility with the predecessor Windows Vista.

According to the company, the application to Dropbox desktop will no longer be available for download in Windows XP from June 26, 2016. also you can no longer access an existing account or create a new account on service if the computer to run this version of the software.

Later, on August 29, the app will no longer support Windows XP. On that date, the user is automatically logged out of any Dropbox account linked to a PC with the system. The storage service site in the cloud will still be available in XP, but the file management can only be done by a platform upgrade to Windows Vista or higher versions.

In addition, the company points out that even if you do not upgrade your operating system, the files remain in the Dropbox account and can still be accessed on other compatible devices with the tool, including mobile devices, Mac and Linux .
