The aim is to ensure that the stock of the authorized dealer network is supplied by the vendor.

Pirelli gained control allowing adequate supplies and the production of the factory to the exact demands of resellers through the analyzes promoted by consultants ACCERA and delivered by qualified and reliable data entered in VMI. This allowed the company to reduce drastically burst index (lack of product) in resales for only 2%. Willian de Almeida Nascimento, responsible for implementation of the Project VMI and Logistics Project Coordinator of Pirelli, said that with the project was possible “approach to the industry collaboratively resellers and reduce delivery LT”. Also according to him, the company reduced the 5-day demands of processing time to just one.

ACCERA held a series of parameterization in VMI. Initially, the project included four dealers who acted as pilot supply and data integration, system parameterization, understanding of the coverage and performance of products and demand, among other processes. Once ACCERA managed to establish the best solution, the project was implemented in 104 stores Pirelli group.

The project allows the Pirelli track inventory levels and demand behavior, identifying, from rules and pre-established parameters, if there is any risk of product entering break. The analyzes and skilled data delivered by VMI ACCERA facilitate mounting of cargo sent by Pirelli and the management of logistics, since the data will also identify carriers that do not meet the established lead time.

According to André Sousa, currently responsible for design VMI and Supply Chain Coordinator area Networking Planning & amp; Distribution of Pirelli, the “aim of the project is to reduce more and more manual efforts, making the management of truly automated supply chain from the sale on the tip until the arrival of the order to Pirelli.”
