Volkswagen: software engines 3.0 without problems in the Union … – Mad Money

The Volkswagen said Tuesday that the devices used in engines 3.0 V6 diesel are not a problem for the governor of the German industry (KBA), according to the head of the auto giant in the UK market .

“We have received confirmation that the KBA does not regard as problematic the use of technology in these engines in the European Union, which is in line with current legislation,” said Paul Willis, quoted by Reuters.

At issue is the use 10,000 cars in the US market, a Device to deceive emissions of nitrogen oxide (NOX) in the engines 3.0 V6, installed in models Volkswagen Touareg 2014 Porsche Cayenne 2015 and Audi A6 Quattro 2016, said last week the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the United States.

The ‘kit’ fraudulent, he explained, has a timer that turns on as soon as detects that the vehicle is being tested in its emission of pollutants, which means that the car emits a value far below the real, says the EPA.

This is one of three cases in which Volkswagen is involved in emissions. The other two relate to fraud nitrogen oxide, which affects 9.5 million vehicles around the world and “inconsistencies” in carbon dioxide emissions and fuel consumption 800,000 cars around the world, some of which gasoline.
