CTI public software reaches 200 universities around the world – Site Technological Innovation

The final list of users InVesalius, public software developed at the Information Technology Center (CTI) Renato Archer, shows that of 34 countries universities downloaded the program.

The number of institutions that make up the list approaches 200, while the total sum 2,717 users in these institutions. The list includes renowned universities such as Georgia Tech (USA) and the Max-Planck Stuttgart (Germany).

Topping the list are the United States, with significant value, comprising more 29% of total users: 798. Then, not long ago, we are Brazil with 760, and, thirdly, England, with 219. Some other countries that also use the software are: Sri Lanka, Serbia, Thailand, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Japan etc.

The software is currently in its third version, is translated into more than 14 languages ​​and has a total of more than 20,000 users in 119 countries.

InVesalius

The InVesalius is a public software developed by DT3D since 2001, used in various fields, from medicine to veterinary dentistry, even through the archeology and the engineering.

It is the first free software in the world that makes the integration between medical scanners and 3D printing equipment.

In the medical field, it helps the diagnosis and surgical planning. The images obtained in two dimensions (2D) CT or MRI equipment are turned into virtual models with three-dimensional (3D) corresponding to the anatomy of the patient.
