In the first half of 2015, the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES) withdrew from the air more than 36,000 links, sites and ad sites auction with access to download illegal copies of software of its members. The number is the result of Internet Monitoring of action and representing an increase of 35% over the same period in 2014. The auction sites focused entity’s efforts, with the removal of 18,854 illegal software advertisements. Compounding the situation, follow this number 17,191 access links to downloads of pirated copies and the 91 websites overturned. The action identifies content that violates the Copyright Computer software developers of programs associated with the entity, notifying the portal and access provider with a request for removal. The operation has existed for 10 years and is supported by the Protection Program of Intellectual Property of the Free Market. The Abes keeps Piracy Report Portal, where anyone can anonymously denounce the use or sale of pirated software. The channel enables verification of the situation of each case.
