How many days my animals should stay in confinement? What is the most appropriate period of adaptation? At what point should be slaughtered, so I have the best financial return? To answer these questions is that Phibro Animal Health developed the “efficient Arroba” computer program that makes a financial gain prediction in confinement.
The program was launched on Tuesday, March 8, during Abuts Phibro – Technical Forum and Livestock Efficient Management in the convention center of Ribeirao Shopping, in the city of Ribeirao Preto, north of São Paulo. The event preceded the 11th Meeting of Confinement, Technical and Economic Management, sponsored by Coan Consulting, Jaboticabal (SP) which began today and runs until tomorrow, Thursday.
Getting a great carcase weight – and not just live weight – is the goal of the program, which uses various information, such as diet composition, energy levels, protein and dry matter, animal body composition (frame), the adaptation period , days trough, cost of replacement and inputs. “Liveweight gain cost is not profit and days trough is not only zootécnica metric and, yes, economic” defined zootechnician César Borges, development manager and solutions Phibro.
housing gain was the central theme of the forum presentations, which included lectures Danilo Millen, a professor at Unesp Dracena (SP); Flávio Dutra de Resende, the APTA Hill; and Mauricio Palma Nogueira, livestock coordinator of Agroconsult, Florianópolis (SC).
According to Borges, the program was based on over 10,000 data provided by 10 confinements that are responsible for the termination of 175,000 animals / year. It is modular and can count on the participation of stakeholders, the Internet. The site (www.arrobaeficiente.com.br) is already in the air and can be used freely by the parties, which must register.
But, so they can use the constant and efficient program, stakeholders need to make a classroom course, also free, according César Borges. Two dates are already set: 23 March and 18 April, in Apt Hill. “You have to learn to make the collection of data in a standardized way,” he says, citing as an example characteristics such as body condition and the animal frame.
Those interested can apply through the contato@phibro.com.br email. Places are limited and the suggestion is to be occupied by people who will touch the technical side and the operational confinement. “Owner or manager and consultant,” says the manager of Phibro
