As was planned, the AMD today launched a new version of their drivers. The Radeon Software Crimson will replace the traditional Catalyst suite as responsible for adjustments in the company’s video cards. The highlights are a reorganization and complete new design interface, seeking to modernize and make more efficient the card configuration. Other improvements include greater flexibility, with the Radeon Software promises to open in just 0.6 seconds far below Eternity the 8/2 required for access to Catalyst.
The Radeon Software is one of the first initiatives after the creation of the Radeon Technologies Group, a division which is responsible for the development of software aimed the AMD video cards. The download of the new 15:11 driver, which includes the Radeon Software and AMD Evolved App can be done through this link.
The Radeon Software Crimson Edition driver package supports the plates series Radeon HD 7000, HD 8000, R200 (plus Radeon HD 8000M models Mobility mobile), R300 and Fury series.
