It is not uncommon to find problematic installations of Chrome. But Google has software that can wipe out these pests more practical way: the Software Removal Tool
Only available for Windows, Software Removal Tool does a scan on your computer for known programs to cause. problems with Chrome – especially those that change the homepage or make annoying pop-ups jump on the screen all the time. If the tool finds some malicious software, the intruder can be removed with one click.
That is, the Software Removal Tool is a kind of “factory restore Chrome”, only deeper. It will not eliminate possible trojans that capture passwords of bank, for example, but will solve many of the problems easily. Google stressed that only shows the number of pests found, and not their name, to avoid that the creators launch the same unwanted software with another name.
