The Linx bought Softpharma. Headquartered in Cascavel, in the interior of Paraná, the company is present with its management system for small and medium-sized pharmacy chains in over 850 cities throughout Brazil.

“We studied several verticals retail, we analyzed the growth markets and invest in acquisitions that expand our expertise and propitiate our geographic expansion. We invest in the pharmacy segment, which is growing by the improvement of income distribution in the country, “announced the company.

The provider believes that with the change of income behavior of households and the aging of the population, there is a more suitable setting for the acceleration of sales in the sector and – for retailers – investment in new shops.

According projection of IMS Health, the Brazilian pharmaceutical industry position in the international arena will gain even more prominence in the coming years. For 2016, the forecast is that the country occupies the fourth place, behind only the US, China and Japan.

In a recent interview with Computerworld Brazil , Alberto Menashe, president of Linx reinforced the Brazilian’s interest in following an inorganic growth. “Of course the good assets, since we have already made 18 acquisitions, are harder to find. But we still have one in front acquisition pipeline, “he said.
