New Public Software Portal will be released at a seminar – Portal Brazil

Tool was developed in line with the law on access to information. Launch will be held in Brasilia on Tuesday (9)

The beta version of the new Brazilian Public Software Portal will be launched on Tuesday (9). The launch will take place during the Seminar Technological Support to Municipalities in the auditorium of Annex I of the Presidency, in Brasília (DF)

During the event, will be also launched two new public solutions:. E system SIC Free and Urbem CNM. Currently, more than 200,000 people are registered and more than 70 solutions available on the website managed by the Ministry of Planning (MP).

Among the new beta version is the platform for collaborative software development.

“We developed this tool for organs work together to increase the solutions available on the portal. This will reduce costs and optimize the work, because changes will be shared by all, “explains Luis Felipe Coimbra Costa, director of the Department of Governance and Systems MP information.

Other innovations of the new version of SPB are in search of public software in the catalog and also categorized; structured page of each solution; innovative environment management communities; and mailing lists.

Over the next two years, the beta version of SPB still go through reformulations to have its dynamic expanded and reformulated.

New solutions

The new SPB will ship with two new solutions, system and SIC-Free and the Urbem CNM. The first software was developed in free platform for web in order to make information more transparent government, in compliance with the Access to Information Act (Law No. 12,527).

With the new public software, the citizen or institution requests this information and monitor its return to the Internet.

But the Urbem CNM is a system designed according to the demand of the municipalities, aiming the improvement of public administration by means of a vision modern contemplating efficiency, economy, speed and transparency of municipal management. Fully oriented web, was developed in open source platform.

So far, only five software communities will be available on the portal. They are: Cacic, e-City, GSAN, system and SIC-Free and Urbem CNM. The other will be migrated gradually over the next year. In the meantime, the two portals will remain available to society.

The SPB was created in April 2007 to share in the public interest computer programs. Thus, the federal government treats the solutions as a public good, without licenses restricting its use or the knowledge of its operation. The new version also get tweaks and improvements from the interaction with the public over the next two years.

Event

Public managers from all over the Country can meet and ask questions about the new SPB during the Seminar Technological Support to Municipalities, in partnership with other ministries, federal agencies and national organizations representing the municipalities. Check out the full schedule.
