Microsoft again changed its software recovery tool for Windows Phone devices. The Lumia Recovery Tool Software received an update that brought back the old name Nokia Software Recovery Tool. This will change the way some users should use this tool, for now there will be two different applications, depending on the device you own.
Microsoft’s statement said, from that change, the software stove that now is called Nokia Software Recovery Tool should be used only for devices that bring the Nokia brand. The company clearly mentions that for appliances with the Lumia, Recovery Tool Windows Phone is the only way to be used for recovery when required .
Users can use the Nokia Software Recovery Tool for appliances:
- Asha and phones Series 40 who have USB interface
- Series Phones 30+ that have USB interface
- Phones Nokia X2 platform
- Symbian phones
The Recovery Tool Windows Phone is already being used for recovery Lumias, especially Windows 10 Mobile to Windows Phone 8.1.
