Go! Zilla. A software into disuse turned psychedelic punk – iOnline

A brief foray into Bandcamp page of this trio is a means of cultural shock frame. “Go! Zilla is an Acid Psychedelic Punk band”, can be read. And so far nothing new – how many are not sets with this categorization of gender – but when, a little above, we read that there are natural Florence comes the suspect “like ?!”.

arduous task to imagine soundscapes that range among people with age-old tradition in pizza, opera and Eros Ramazzotti this life. “There are some bands trying to play this style and to contribute to the independent music scene in Italy, but nothing like the prog rock bands of the 70s,” says Luca Landi, lead singer and guitarist of Go! Zilla before that in advance Italy “or Italian pop dens or are trash.” Trash is certainly not, this monster punk combustion lies down, from time to time, lightly, on a psychedelic pop subversive melodies and yearning to travel.

With two albums and two EP – matter which proves its willingness to shoot, especially for those who graduated only in 2012 – the Italian trio reaches lusas land in triple dose, in Guimarães today, tomorrow in port and Saturday in Lisbon. More is that, beyond the handful of songs that have behind us, these guys are about to release her new album in April, entitled “Sinking in Your Sea”. Chest out, stomach in, continence, that ignorance that made us doubt disappears before the magnificence of the monster in question. If Italy is coming these gentlemen, whatever.
However, it must be said that our twisted nose was not unreasonable. The proof is that it was necessary to rotate half the world to receive due attention. In France, confesses Luca, have a legion of followers, as in Mexico, where they were last year. “When we arrived we were told in the news as a future band, when in fact, few know us. But slowly we are growing in our own country, “he warns.

Luca accent, evident in this telephone conversation – and that emphasizes the willingness of a confident young musician – is more difficult to uncover when you click the play.
