Created by Pixar, the rendering software RenderMan has been officially released for non-commercial use free of charge. The tool was used in all of American studio animations and now can be used on any individual projects on personal projects, research and education.

According to the Info site, and has given life the characters like the movie “Toy Story,” RenderMan has also been licensed to other studios and was used in the visual effects productions as the trilogy “The Lord of the Rings” and recent episodes of the saga “Star Wars”.
