Companies ‘software’ lay Order of Accountants Certified … – Economic

Almost 30 companies ‘software’ delivered today at the Administrative Court of Aveiro a lawsuit against the Order of Accountants Certificates (OCC), by this entity selling software to accountants, claiming compensation of 11.75 million euros.

“He gave today’s entry, the Administrative and Fiscal Court of Aveiro, a procedural document against OCC, tending to the immediate withdrawal from the market ‘software’ Toc Online and AFE marketed by OCC,” he told Lusa the lawyer of companies, Nuno da Silva Vieira.

The 28 complainants companies, most based in the north and Lisbon, claim that the Order is legally prohibited from performing acts of trade and that the sale of ‘software’ to their accountants calls into question the rules of competition.

In addition to the immediate withdrawal from the market of those Order of software products, 28 companies claim compensation of 11.75 million by way of economic damages, . image and reputation

Contacted by Lusa, the president of OCC, Domingues Azevedo, refusal is being committed any illegality: “We are not to commit an act of trade, we are supporting the Order of professionals with new tools that help them fulfill their mission, “he said.

The chairperson also pointed out that the Order does not sell the software to any consumer, but only to accountants, and argued that this exclusivity shows not the case an act of commerce.

“The Order must support the members in the exercise of its function, but these professionals exclusively,” said Domingues Azevedo.
