Positive trend remains. Management software reaches 200 million billing

 

Despite the unfavorable situation of the Portuguese economy, the management software market in recent years has maintained an upward trend, supported in the increasingly greater degree of digitization of companies and the introduction of new applications and information processing technologies.

In the period 2010-2014 the turnover recorded an annual average growth of 11%, reaching in 2014 the amount of 200 million euros, an increase of 9.3% over the previous year. According to the study “Sectors Portugal Management Software” by Informa D &. B, the Portuguese market management software maintained in the last years a trend of significant growth, despite the negative performance of the economy. The constant development of new applications and features on the supply and the growing need for effective systems for the treatment of information by business customers contributed to the turnover growth.

In this context, sectoral turnover increased at an average annual rate of 11% between 2010 and 2014, from EUR 132 million to 200 million. In 2014 the market growth rate was 9.3%, slightly below that of the previous year.

The ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) are the main source of revenue for the industry and They accounted for about 50% of the market value in 2014.

The short-term forecast that sales growth will continue. The volume of business sector could reach the end of 2015 a close value of 220 million euros, representing an increase of 10% compared to 2014.
