The Wood of the Legislative Assembly discusses three PSD draft resolutions, BE and PCP advising the regional government the use of free software in the regional government. The recommendations are only differences in the way the use of programs should be made, particularly in terms of security.
Proponents parties consider it important that the public administration is not subject, only multinational software and enjoy the production of the University of Madeira which has a systems engineering department.
John Paul Marques (PSD) recalls that the use of open-source software is recommended by various international bodies. What the PSD does not admit is calling into question the safety of systems and sensitive data of citizens. To this end proposes a study to assess how this measure could be applied.
