The transformation of the software user – Computerworld

The old software user no longer exists. Dealing in general terms all professionals who use technology solutions is a mistake. Companies that do not give prominence to the individual, even within a workplace, are bound to fail in the near future.

Behind a login and a password, there is an identity, a being multitasking that ultradinâmico in a live environment. The rapid evolution of social networks and access to information collaborate to each individual to exercise their own individuality. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are becoming increasingly important tools in the global culture and has influence to presidential debates worldwide. And that connection comes to day to day corporations. Young professionals are already familiar with their roles and interact naturally with the new technologies.

With the new generations also comes the new behaviors. And in this environment, information technology is the means by which a trader can develop their tasks more efficiently. But to do so, it is important that IT is thought of more personalized and less standardized way.

It is a fact that people change faster than companies. Not long ago that the corporate environment was the forerunner in the adoption of new technologies (remember when PC was only at work?), But today people do it with much more speed. In this sense, innovation strategy serves to drive this transformation and put the business back in the running to meet not only the needs of the employees but also the customers to be served by them. Creating solutions with simple interfaces and encourage the connection between professionals, companies and the market is the key to recognizing the role and responsibility that each individual has within its ecosystem.

Another point that I need to clarify by offering IT as support for professional development tool is the context of each function or a module of a solution, for example. Young professionals need to understand what they are doing and why make certain processes; otherwise they lose interest. This is where the customization gains strength instead of standardization. Develop customizable tools with which each person chooses what and how to use is what will make the difference at the end of the day.

We live in a time of paradigm shift strongly driven by technology as the basis of connections between people and the way they position themselves in the labor market. There is no preset limits between being professional and personnel and organizations need to understand it to evolve.

To give voice to this new generation can be vital for companies and a way to start is conferring them an identity rather than assign them a user.
