Apple confirms ‘malicious software’ applications – Economic

Apple confirmed on Sunday the existence of ‘malware’ (“malicious software”) in some applications. The problem was detected in China, particularly in WeChat and Didi ChuXing applications.

According to the US company security on the net, Palo Alto Networks, “hundreds of millions” of users were at risk of having the exposed their personal data.

The Palo Alto said that the App Store application store, Apple, was being attacked by ‘malware’ XcodeGhost. There have been detected 39 infected applications.

Apple ensures that has removed the infected applications, advances have been created through a false version of your application development software, Xcode.

“To protect our customers we removed the App Store applications, known to have been created with this fake software and we are sure the users are using the appropriate version of Xcode to rebuild their applications,” said now led by Tim Cook.

Apple has always stressed have tightened security rules and criticized several times to Google, which has already seen problems of this kind.
