Portal addresses software test automation – Baguette (press release)

Teachers Auri Marcelo Rizzo Vincenzi, the computer department of UFSCar, and José Carlos Maldonado and Márcio Eduardo Delamaro, both of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences (ICMC), University of São Paulo, developed a portal that makes available materials Open addressing the automation of software testing.

The material is divided into modules that address the theoretical parts and practice and the possible use of tools

With the material,. objective is to strengthen the cooperation perspective in the training of qualified professionals with use of free software.

Teachers hope to contribute to entrepreneurship and innovation, as users can use both the didactic material and the tools unlicensed acquisition costs of the programs, and contribute to the improvement of applications.

Altogether were prepared content to approximately 240 hours of training, with theoretical and practical activities. All generated material is available for educational purposes, enabling the dissemination of knowledge in software testing area.

The authors are part of the Center for Research Support in Free Software (NAP-SoL) and the Centre Competence in Free Software (CCSL), based in the ICMC USP in Sao Carlos.
