US: Volkswagen dealerships process for software … – IstoÉ Money

Three American dealerships of Volkswagen (VW) have decided to sue the German manufacturer in the case of software adulterated diesel engines. – Informed his lawyers on Wednesday

This collective lawsuit was filed in a court Illinois (north) by lawyers as the first of its kind ever launched since the outbreak of the scandal, in September last year.

Other dealers have joined in a class action lawsuit in California.

the three companies accused VW of having “abused intentionally their dealers to install fraudulent software on their diesel vehicles,” according to a statement.

the applicants complain that they have been convinced by the automaker the open spaces in their establishments to sell vehicles supposedly clean, when in fact, violated US environmental standards.

the trio claims amount of compensation not specified to cover losses related to the devaluation of the affected vehicles.

the German group decided to suspend the sale of the models involved in the scandal, but did not remove the about 600,000 vehicles that exist in the United States.

When contacted by AFP, VW did not answer.
