Software bug may off Boeing 787 Dreamliner in full … – Motor More

The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) issued a statement indicating the existence of a problem in the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, related to the software that makes all the management of the reactors, that can hang them in flight.

The flaw, discovered during lab tests revealed that all electrical system breaks of 248 and 248 days Safe Mode, or approximately eight months. This, if it happens during times of take-off or landing, may lead to a catastrophic result.

For now, the temporary solution presented by Boeing comes down to the simple “reboot” as the computers, so the “trick” the system so that it restart the count of 248 days. However, Boeing says it is working hard to solve this bug once and for all.

We recall that the launch of the latest model and advanced Boeing has not run optimally, having been a fire in a module of lithium-ion in 2013, and the discovery of a vulnerable chip that would allow remote access to the navigation systems of the aircraft by hackers.
