Dataprev hires Softtek for software testing – Computerworld

Softtek announced a joint project with the Dataprev, public company specializing in IT solutions to support the policies of the Federal Government, for the provision of services focused on improving processes of the institution’s software testing.

The goal is to achieve improvements in these processes, improving quality control of products delivered to the company’s customers. For this, the institution created the Department of Software Testing (DETS) and drew up a plan with priority actions for the changes, including the monitoring and measurement of results, and the development of new strategies.

Test the quality of software is critical to minimize disorders that usually appear when it is put into production. One of the advantages of hiring the services category is able to find defects in the system still in development, avoiding disorders, rework and loss.

The main customer of Dataprev is the National Institute of Social Security (INSS). To answer it, the institution maintains sophisticated specific systems and infrastructures that store, process and update the information of millions of Brazilian taxpayers.

The public company also provides services for the Internal Revenue Service of Brazil and the Ministries of Social Welfare, Labour and Employment, Planning, Budget and Management, and Social Development and Hunger Alleviation.

Datapreve has agreements also with public and private financial institutions for the processing Information regarding the provision of payroll loans to retirees and pensioners. Among them, the Bank of Brazil, Caixa, Santander, Itaú Unibanco, Citibank and Banco da Amazônia.
